cover front

The front of the album has some interesting ingredients that attract your attention. The lettering and the flowers at the top are stunning. The idyllic landscape in which the band members blend into the rock formation is very subtle and form a bridge to the angel on the right.

Nevertheless; the bird, the butterfly and especially the flowers on the bottom, the left and right are but a failed attempt to connect all ingredients into one consisting harmony.

cover back

Cover Back

The back of Buffalo Springfield Again has a special way to thank people.

Cover Back

'We wish to thank the following friends, enemies & people we don't know from Adam for their influence and inspiration'. The dedication is to Barry Friedman.'

Maybe it reflects the growing tension within the band during the production of this second album (they were often working separately). Their third album was their final album.

future stars

Future Stars Maybe more interesting: Buffalo Springfield Again is a 1967 (second) folk rock album by Buffalo Springfield. It is musically and vocally an interesting album because the band included future stars Stephen Stills and Neil Young. It is ranked number 188 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Among the notable tracks are Young's minor hit, 'Mr. Soul'. The album also includes two orchestral experiments by Young: 'Expecting to Fly' and 'Broken Arrow'. Both tracks were intended for solo release. Stills contributed four tunes, among them 'Rock and Roll Woman', a song co-written by an uncredited David Crosby and allegedly featuring Crosby on backup vocals. (He had just been fired by The Byrds) This song was probably the first collaboration between Stills and Crosby.

Artist

Buffalo Springfield, formed in Los Angeles, was a rock band active from 1966 to 1968 containing Stephen Stills (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Neil Young (guitar, harmonica, piano, vocals), Dewey Martin (drums, vocals), Bruce Palmer (electric bass), and Richie Furay (guitar, vocals). The band combined elements of folk and country music with British invasion and psychedelia influences, and, along with the Byrds, were part of the early development of the folk rock genre.

The band released three albums, and several singles including For What It's Worth. After various drug-related arrests and line-up changes, the group broke up in 1968.
