The frontcover art was influenced by a Marlene Dietrich photobook. Bowie took it with him to the shoot. The artwork was designed by George Underwood & terry (his partner) – the same friend who punched Bowie in the eye at school, causing that the pupil was permanently dilated Photography by Brain Ward.
The backcover shows Bowie with his typical flamboyant dressing style. Track listing and ordering info are handwritten by Bowie.
